Appointment and Cancellation Policy
Our goal is to provide quality medical care in a timely manner. In order to do so we have had to implement an appointment/cancellation policy. The policy enables us to better utilize available appointments for our patients in need of medical care. We encourage that you schedule in advance for preventative health visits, physicals, pap exams, chronic medical conditions, IV therapy and acupuncture appointments to ensure availability.

Scheduling Appointments
You may schedule online for your appointments or may call Starry Brook Natural Medicine at 603.583.5181 to schedule an appointment with Dr. Giard, Naturopathic Doctor, or Jessica Davis, Certified Professional Midwife. Established patients for Starry Brook Natural Medicine and Roots of Life Midwifery will be provided an after-hours phone number for emergencies only.  For home visits due to illness, please contact Starry Brook by phone to arrange a visit.

Cancellation of an Appointment
We understand changing schedules.  In order to be respectful of the medical needs of the Seacoast Community please be courteous and call Starry Brook  promptly if you are unable to attend an appointment. This time will be reallocated to someone who is in urgent need of treatment. This is how we can best serve the needs of the Seacoast Community.

If it is necessary to cancel your scheduled appointment we require that you call by 48 hours before your scheduled appointment.  Appointments are in high demand, and your early cancellation will give another person the possibility to have access to timely medical care.

How to Cancel Your Appointment
To cancel appointments please call 603-583-5181.  If you do not reach the receptionist you may leave a detailed message on the voice mail.  You may also cancel a scheduled appointment 48 hours in advance online, simply click the “BookNow!” button, and reschedule your appointment for a more convenient time.

Late Cancellations
Late cancellations, made less than 48 hours prior to your appointment time,  will be considered as a “no show”.

No Show Policy
A “no show” is someone who misses an appointment without canceling it 48 hours in advance. No-shows inconvenience those individuals who need access to medical care in a timely manner.

A failure to present at the time of a scheduled appointment will be recorded in the patients’ chart as a “no show”.  You may be charged the full amount for the appointment. The patient will be sent a letter alerting them to the fact that they have failed to show up for an appointment and did not cancel the appointment 48 hours in advance. A copy of the letter will be placed in the patient file. Three “no shows” will result in the temporary suspension of services. In order to reinstate services the patient will be required to meet with the Doctor  or delegate to evaluate the situation.
